This green armored train has carried the Kim family for decade

– North Korean leader Kim Jong Un boarded an old-fashioned green train for a trip to Russia, symbolizing North Korea's isolation and secrecy.

– The trip was in preparation for a meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, potentially involving arms deal discussions.

The exact date and location of the meeting were unclear

– but Kim's train had reportedly arrived in Russia and was traveling north through the country's far east region.

– Photos showed Kim's departure from Pyongyang with a red carpet, uniformed officials, soldiers, and cheering crowds.

Among the officials present were North Korea's Foreign Minister Choe Sun Hui and Ri Pyong Chol

– vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the ruling Workers' Party.

– The photos offered a glimpse inside the heavily armored, slow-moving locomotive with polished wooden floors and an ornate white doorway.
