Epic Showdown: Massive Auto Strike Shakes Michigan

On September 15th, a historic strike commenced as hundreds of auto workers 

– and supporters gathered at a Ford assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan.

The strike involved a total of 12,700 workers at three plants 

Ford's Bronco assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan 

GM's mid-sized pickup truck assembly plant in Wentzville, Missouri 

and Stellantis' Jeep assembly plant in Toledo, Ohio. 

The strike was triggered by the inability to reach an agreement between the union and automakers 

– automakers (General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis) before the contract's expiration.
